After breakfast you will continue through the heart of Baja Sur with stunning desert lanscape. This region, once submerged under the Sea of Cortes millions of years ago, reveals its fascinating history through the fossils scattered along the trail - remnants of the ancient marine world.
As you traverse arid plains and rugged terrains, you will encounter traditional ranchos and farming land.
The trek concludes when you enter Santiago town, a lovely traditional town that is one of the oldest settlements in BCS, with a Mision stalis by the Jesuits in 1724.
Santiago became a vital center for agriculture, thanks to the natural springs and fertile lands in the region, with a unique live and lush oasis surrounded by palm trees, mango and citrus orchards that stand in stark contrast to the arid desert.
The oasis is a unique haven in the south of Baja, offering a refreshig end to an unforgettable stage.
Flush toilets, cool showers, individual tents and comfortable sleeping pads will be ready for you. Enjoy a well-earned fantastic dinner with margaritas, beer and wine, a glimpse into the local rural culture, and a campfire to share stories of the day.
